The Celtic boss insisted he was not afraid of dismissal, asserting, “We are very near to a turnaround,” despite edging perilously close to the chopping block with a comprehensive setback against Rangers.

He continues to cling to the fact his team can perform strongly for 45 minutes at a time. “The level we had at times was of top quality. That happened. I could not say that if it was different. That is the reason, when it comes to wins, I noted this is the same story. Which is why I said that we are nearly there to getting it right. But for the moment: details, details, details.”

“We produced many, many good things that we did, once more. However it’s about consistency. My outlook would be different the same. Therefore I am convinced the team can to fix this.”

Röhl’s Cautious Response

Danny Röhl played down talk of a championship push even after what seemed like a huge result. “One match at a time, then we can develop momentum,” he said. “The confidence in the group is immense.”
