The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident

The visionary game developer, who helped create the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in the state of California aged 55.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.

The renowned industry figure died after his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, as reported by.

"This is an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts stated.
