The House Oversight Committee has released a batch of roughly 70 images obtained from the property of deceased convicted sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the latest in a series of release from a larger collection of more than 95,000 photographs the panel has obtained from Epstein's holdings. It contains images of excerpts from the novel Lolita inscribed across a female's body, and redacted images of female overseas passports.

This action occurs hours before the 19th of December due date for the DOJ to make public each files connected to its inquiry into Epstein.

"These latest images raise further questions about precisely what the Justice Department has in its holdings," remarked the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Photographs Disclosed

A number of the photographs published on Thursday feature Epstein conversing with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky inside a private jet; Bill Gates positioned beside a female whose features is censored; Steve Bannon positioned at a desk facing Epstein, and former Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the newest wealthy, influential men to be photographed in Epstein property images published by the House Oversight Committee - previously disclosed pictures also include US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, previous US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Appearing in the photos is is not considered proof of any wrongdoing, and several of the featured individuals have said they were never involved in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a announcement accompanying the image publication, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate did not offer explanatory details or timeframes for the images.

"Photos were picked to offer the public with transparency into a illustrative selection of the images acquired from the property, and to offer perspectives into Epstein's network and his profoundly alarming behavior," the announcement states.

The release also features several images of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita penned in ink across several locations of a woman's body, like her torso, lower extremity, hipbone, and back. Lolita recounts the tale of a young girl who was exploited by a adult literature professor.

One passage from the book written across a woman's torso reads, "Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue traveling of three steps down the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a number of images of female identification and ID papers from nations worldwide, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the details on the IDs, such as identities and birth dates, is redacted but the House Oversight Committee said in a press release that the passports belong to "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators were engaging".

Another photograph depicts Epstein positioned at a desk intimately surrounded by three female figures whose features have been obscured - one individual has her palm on Epstein's torso under his garment, and a second is crouching to examine a close-by computer. Epstein seems to be aiding the third fasten a bracelet.

A further photo released is a image of digital messages from an unidentified individual who claims they have been sent "some girls" and are asking for "$1000 per female".

Photo Publication Arrives Before DOJ Cut-off

The committee has thousands of photos in its custody from the Epstein estate, which are "at once disturbing and mundane," its statement on this week clarified.

The oversight panel first issued a subpoena to the holdings of Epstein, who was found dead in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The images and documents the Epstein estate provided to the panel are distinct from what is largely termed "the Epstein documents". Those files are papers in the DOJ's control associated with its own investigation into Epstein.

Under the recently passed law, which Donald Trump signed into law in November, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to release its files. The scope of what is found in the DOJ's files is unclear, and it's likely that much of the content will be significantly redacted, akin to House Oversight Committee releases
